How can I freely position nodes on the canvas?
MindNode will automatically keep your canvas organized. If you want to position your nodes freely on the canvas you need to disable "Smart Layout". You can do this by selecting the Tools icons (the wrench) and by deselecting Smart Layout. You can disable this feature for all newly created documents in the settings.
